**JLR Invests £500m to Transform Halewood Factory for Electric Vehicle Production** ⚡

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced a £500m investment to modernise its historic Halewood plant, originally built in 1963. This transformation will enable the parallel production of electric vehicles (EVs), alongside current combustion and hybrid models.

With £250m already invested, the site has been expanded by 32,364 sqm, adding over one million hours of construction work in the last 12 months. The plant will produce JLR’s new medium-sized luxury electric SUVs on the electric modular architecture (EMA) platform, incorporating cutting-edge EV build lines, 750 autonomous robots, ADAS calibration rigs, and laser alignment technology, all supported by a cloud-based digital management system.
