Airbus’ A320 family is poised to become the world’s most-delivered commercial aircraft, overtaking Boeing’s long-standing lead with the 737 series. According to aviation consultancy Cirium, and reported by Bloomberg, the European manufacturer is now just 20 units away from surpassing Boeing’s lifetime total of 12,175 aircraft deliveries.
Boeing has held the top spot for nearly four decades, but recent challenges—including increased tariff-related costs, safety concerns, and production delays linked to employee strikes—have slowed its momentum.
The milestone would mark a significant achievement for Airbus, further cementing the A320 as a cornerstone of global aviation.
