CNC Turner

A precision engineering business near Wetherby is looking for a CNC Turner to join its team. You’ll be working on a mix of batch production and R&D work across aerospace, telecoms, and automotive sectors – varied work with plenty of overtime available for those who want it.
What you’ll be doing:
- Setting and operating HAAS and Doosan CNC lathes (multi-spindle)
- Working across batch sizes from one-offs through to 1,000+ off
- Supporting R&D and prototype work alongside standard production
- Programming at the machine (for those with programming experience)
What you need:
- Proven CNC turning experience
- Fanuc and/or Haas controls ideal
- Confident setting and operating CNC lathes
- Ability to work from engineering drawings
- Programming experience desirable but not essential – salary reflects both levels
What’s on offer:
- £32,000 (setter/operator) or £36,000 (with programming experience)
- Monthly performance bonus: £50 – £400
- Weekday overtime – base rate + £6.50 p/h after 10 hours
- Saturday overtime – base rate + £6.50 p/h
- Sunday overtime – double time
- Bank holidays – double time plus day in lieu
- Days: 07:30 – 16:00, Mon – Thu / 07:30 – 15:00 Fri
- Permanent role with steady, consistent workload
